Soil: Will thrive in most soils as long as it drains well.
Light: Needs to be planted in full sun in cool climates, but in warm climates it enjoys some afternoon shade.
Water: Has average water needs. Drought tolerant once established, but will not tolerate soggy conditions.
Space: 2-3 feet apart
Fertilizing: Little needed. An all purpose garden fertilizer or rose fertilizer may be applied in early spring if desired.
Winterizing: No particular preparation needed.
Maintenance: Naturally grows into a neat, tidy habit and needs very little pruning. If desired, trim or prune after bloom; this will encourage a second flush of colorful new growth as well as remove spent flowers for a cleaner look.
