Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

I ordered 5 Phlox plants back in May. 4 were fine the other (Emerald Blue' Creeping Phlox) was sickly. After submitting pictures, you agreed to replace the pant. I waited two weeks before you told me you were out of them and to select another color of receive a refund. I selected another color. Waited another two weeks only to receive another sickly plant. I notified you, informing you I was done doing business with you and tired of taking pictures of sickly plants. Never received a response.

Hope mine looks like this, very pretty, good size starter.
Arrived, as I unpacked they were nicely greem and healthy looking but by next day as I waited for appropriate time of day to plant they all had turned to straw color. What a disappointment, especially since I was to trying to fulfill covering all bare spots in response to a Community Association rule for my backyard citation. I left them in the ground but will have to toss them as they just remain straw colored clumps and yet all my already existing plants that surround them continue looking great!
