Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Arrives as young plant
I followed the instruction upon arrival. Plants looked ok. Not dead but not exactly happy. After a couple weeks in the ground and constant watering the Hydrangeas look great! We had a few hot weeks too (high 90s to 100) and the plants did well. It has been a couple months since planting and all 5 plants are flourishing. I have bought more plants since and they look great!
Great process. Shipping was faster than anticipated too.
So I had them put m the house watering them , when I transplanted them outside they both died. Wasn’t really there fault it was mine . Be sure if your order then you can plant them immediately

Came later than hoped but great packaging and safe!!
It's growing wonderfully despite a nippy start to spring.
Thank you for replacing our order. The replacement plants arrived dead on arrival. We think your shipping department isn't up to snuff. We've decided not to order ever again.

Hello Pat ,we sorry your plants didn't have a successful journey to your garden. While we typically have great success shipping happy and healthy plants nationwide, sometimes plants suffer in transit. In these cases we're always happy to offer a refund. Thanks for your feedback and again we apologize your plants didn't make it to you in planting condition.
