Plant Spacing

Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:

How To Grow Soil: Thuja 'Green Giant' thrives in a wide range of soil types but grows best in moist, well-draining soils.

Trees Look Great!

Purchased four Giant Thuja on sale. Arrived a day late but were in near perfect condition when they arrived. Soil was still moist and trees were nice and green. Planted the following day and so far they look great. Will be ordering more. I have a large area to create a natural privacy wall and I think these will look great in about five years.

Great living privacy fence!

I ordered 'Green Giant' arborvitae to create a privacy screen between our house and the neighbors, and it's already grown several feet taller in its second year and is really filling out on the sides. A few more years and I think it will be tall enough to completely shield us from the neighbors! The trees arrived tall, healthy, and cheaper than other trees we've seen on the market.

Better than all the others

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have bought arborvitae online and these are, by far, the healthiest and the most robust of any of the others. Add to that, that they are larger and more full than expected. 100% healthy. Definitely will use again.
