More Information

Description Lupines are a staple in cottage gardens for their whimsical spires of pea-shaped flowers, and Mini Gallery™ Red lupine (or Lupinus polyphyllus) is no different. The vibrant berry-red flowers bloom early in summer, attracting troves of hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees to the garden. Only reaching 16 inches tall and 9 inches wide, Mini Gallery™ Red is perfectly suited for containers, borders, and small spaces.

While lupines are typically enjoyed in large mass plantings, the Mini Gallery™ lupines can easily nestle into small spaces. The series was bred in France to be compact, yet even more floriferous than other cultivars. Their vibrant colors, dense spikes of flowers, and sturdy stems make them well-suited for cut flower arrangements. Use them to extend the lupine season by pairing this early-blooming series with other late-blooming cultivars. Though short-lived, these perennials always make a memorable display you'll look forward to every summer.

So tiny

I pray they make it. It is such tiny plant

We’re sorry you’re not satisfied with your plants! On each product page and our plant sizes page, we note that all of our plants are young. The size of our plants varies depending on the time of year and whether they were recently trimmed. The most important thing when purchasing plants, online or in garden centers, is a full and robust root system, which we prioritize. Trimming only encourages stronger root development! All orders are covered by our 60-day guarantee, so please reach out to claims@greatgardenplants.com to start the claims process if necessary.

Dead plants

Received 2 Lupines with broken branches. Unable to survive after planted in the ground for 1 week. Sometime I have luck with Great garden plants online order. But not these Lupines….

Hello! We’re sorry that you received plants that are not up to our standards. We try our best to provide excellent plants, but some factors, like shipping and handling, are outside our control. That’s why we have a 60-day guarantee on all of our orders. Please email your order number and pictures of your plants to claims@greatgardenplants.com to start the claims process. We look forward to helping! https://bit.ly/ggp-guarantee

Wow

Dead within a week

Thank you for your feedback! Our customer service team would love to hear from you. Please contact us at claims@greatgardenplants.com with your order number and photos of the plants, so we may provide assistance. It’s surprisingly normal for newly transplanted plants to appear like they aren’t growing. That’s because most of the growth occurs below ground in their first year as they allocate more energy to root development. Once your plant is established, it will start investing more in shoot and flower development. To learn more about how plants “sleep, creep, and leap”, read our FAQ here: https://bit.ly/FAQ-plant-growth
