Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Don't waste another season on a dull shade garden! Whether they are the classic green and unique blues, or purples and red hues, these plants will give at least three seasons of color in your garden.
The label said Red but it’s not. It’s the magenta pink. I have a lot of Astilbes and wanted all different colors so I ordered the “red” now that it’s flowering it just another magenta pink.
We're sorry you're not satisfied with your plants. Lighting and growing conditions can determine how red the flowers are. In more light, the blooms will become more faded red and in more shade, the flowers bloom a more vivid red. All orders are covered by our 60-day guarantee, Please contact claims@greatgardenplants.com with your order number and photos of the plants to start the claims process if necessary.
They are dead.
Loved the item. The plant was in great shape and easy to plant. I can’t wait to see it bloom
I love the plants, sorry to say that with the extreme heat I am not sure if they are going to make it in south central WI.
I have ordered a lot of plants from Great Garden and I am a very satisfied gardener. This year has been brutal heat and not much rain, so not ideal garden weather at all.
I hope the astilbe make it, they look pretty bad right now.
