Hello, my Midnight masquerade Beardtongue (Penstemon) did not survive, regardless of me putting everything to make it grow. I was looking forward to it really enhancing my garden bed with it colors. I watched it to no avail. Please, refund…Thank you.
Although in total I ordered 26 plants, with eight of them being refunded to me, more than half of them have died. I know how to take care of lavender because I’ve had it for years but there’s either something wrong with your plants, or you shouldn’t be offering them for sale in the middle of a heat wave. they did tell me they would refund some of the other ones that died but frankly the nuisance of having to take photographs of all these dead plants and then look up the order is more trouble than it’s worth. So I elected to take the loss, but this will most certainly affect where I go when I shortly decide to order perennials this fall. Thank you.
I watered them and one plant was dead and the other started putting out some new shoots eventually but I doubt it will recover to bloom this season.
I ordered two one is purple one is red, purple one looks good this red one not very good, all branches no buds.
All plants suffered from the mailing. I would never order from here again. Lost half the plants.
Hi, You need to change over to vertical shipping. I ordered 3 plants, they came looking good and nicely boxed however 2 had come out of their containers by about 4 inches and the roots were completely separated from the rest of the 1 gal container. I would say half of the 1 gal container had no roots attached to the soil. and the soil was very dry, very disappointing and very shocking to the plants. Shipping in the vertical position would had prevented this. Home Depot shipped me a tree in the vertical position so I know it is possible and it is doing great. I know that most online or shipped trees and plants are shipped in the horizontal position and I have had a number arrive to me in this condition, but this was my 1st order from you....and you should really consider making this change for all future customers even though you would have to change your box outside print. Now I have to try to replace the one that is not going to make it, the others look like it will come out of shock where the one is just as dry and shriveled up as can be...bummer because it was such a beautiful specimen. Unfortunately the July heat wave have almost killed these despite my best attempts to follow the instructions. Lesson learned for ordering.
I so wanted to have this kind of display in my yard, but they died soon after planting them, even though I took great care at watering them according to instructions.
I was very happy with the way my plants were shipped and the condition they arrived in. Mr. Poppins was a very nice sized plant and in growing well in just the few weeks I’ve had it.
My plants arrived in excellent condition and I planted them according to instruction. They are settling in and have already put on new growth. I will be ordering from Great Garden Plants again.
Bought two for our “30th Anniversary” flower bed. Excellent vigorous plants, great leaf color. Our puppy thought so too and dug up one. We replanted the mangled plant with fingers crossed.
The plants came in good condition, but they should not be used to feed the caterpillars as they are deadly for them.
I planted as prescribed, I put little water, because they were wet on arrival, added plant food. Planted in a sunny area. Two days later the leaves were beginning to brown, did not want to over water. It was very hot and humid . Maybe that did it. The same with Coreopsis
This place sold me 3 Milk Weed plants. They arrived "crispy" and when we planted them, they DIED! This place is a great place to spend your money and not get anything in return. Bottom line is, this place is a HUGE SCAM! They love taking the money and when you try to resolve it, they offer 30% off (for inconvenience) and keep your money. They are in it for a "money grab", DO NOT BUY FROM GREAT GARDENS. This is all my opinion, BUT my opinion is THEY suck and I would NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone.
I ordered two flats of the landscape plugs this spring. Plant material arrived in perfect condition and a few bloomed. Still have some ground to fill - will be ordering more.
I've ordered three separate times and all of the plants have been robust and ready to plant. Now, my garden is blooming and it's a beautiful sight!
The plant arrived smaller than anticipated, planted about 4 weeks ago and it started blooming after 3 weeks. The roses are smaller but very full and stay open for days. Very happy with this rose so far
Ordered 'Green Giant' Arborvitae (Thuja) × 48
One Gallon trees back in mid June to plant behind our wooden fence for natural fence when this one eventually breaks down. Weather and yellow jackets dragged the planting process out to beginning of August. Trees have been in original gallon containers but with regular rain and watering they’ve persevered. All 48 beautifully healthy when they arrived helped them make it to planting. Now it’s up to me and Mother nature!
My plant arrived in good shape and seems to be thriving!
My plant arrived in good shape and is still alive, but I've missed it's blooming cycle. We'll see what I get next year.
